A TRIP IN THE JUNGLE
It was such a sunny day when we left our temporary camp in Kebasa (Kenya) to look for THE adventure deep in the mysterious jungle. There were 10 of us , ready to overcome any danger , ready to explore the unknown.
Early in the morning we took our rucksacks and our tools and set off. Tana , our host, gave us a lift to the edge of the forest. He drove us there in his antique jeeps. A bit too old but still , quite useful. Then he spoke to the guide and gave him the last directions regarding our itinerary.. we were supposed to cross a part of the jungle and then , a few hours later , to get out at Mivasa and meet the other group of tourists.
The sky was blue , the air was fresh , birds were singing everywhere when we entered the deep and virgin forest. Although a sunny weather , the atmosphere was a bit wet. What a splendour it was! It was as if nature had burst into colour! And all around us there were tiny little creatures crawling and jumping. We were thrilled , but really quite confused , not understanding why the guide was telling us to pay attention. There was nothing to worry about!
And suddenly a sharp cry and Paul simply disappeared! I felt like I was dying , little by little. Nobody was saying anything! Then , a few minutes later the guide burst out: “I’ve told you!â€
