Childcare staff: Applications now open

Whilst they are at work, EU staff need to know that their children are being well cared for. The EU institutions provide exceptional childcare services for infants and pre-schoolers as well as after-school facilities. If you are a suitably qualified childcare professional and would like to give your career an international dimension, why not come and share your skills with the EU institutions?

Applications are now open for Contract Staff (Function Group II) of the following profiles:


A. Nursery Nurses / Childcare Workers
B. Kindergarten Teachers
C. Educational Assistant / Childminders for after-school facilities


Whether you work in one of our day nurseries, kindergartens or after-school facilities based in Brussels, Ispra or Luxembourg, you will be helping to ensure an atmosphere conducive to the well-being of the children in your care so that they can develop in a calm and safe environment. The parents come from all Member States of the EU and are often working far from their place of origin. You will be expected to establish and maintain courteous relations with these parents to further the integration and development of their children in partnership with them. You will also take part in various ongoing training activities to enhance your professional skills and ensure the consistency of the educational approach being taken.
